A nurse has been found not guilty of the manslaughter of a 10-year-old girl, a jury has decided.
Carrie-Anne Nash was accused of being ‘grossly negligent’ when she treated Phoebe Willis, from Locking, in Weston General Hospital in 2012.
A jury at Bristol Crown Court returned not guilty verdicts (Wednesday) afternoon.
Phoebe had a rare genetic disorder, which meant she had to be fed through a tube.
Ms Nash, aged 34 and of Tansy Lane in Portishead, was called in to the hospital as a specialist working for a company called Nutricia to replace the tube.
But it was not placed correctly, and Phoebe died of an infection.
