A MAN who admitted carring an imitation firearm around Weston was sentenced on Friday.
James Bradshaw, aged 25, of Beach Road, was arrested on October 3 after a witness saw him openly carrying an air gun along St James Street in Weston.
When interviewed he admitted wedging the firearm in his waistband before taking it to a number of pubs in the town, and said: “I feel embarrassed and stupid.”
At North Somerset Courthouse on Friday, Bradshaw pleaded guilty to charges of possessing an imitation firearm and possession of cannabis.
He was handed a 12-month community order, requiring 200 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
