A WESTON man has been jailed for distributing sexually explicit images of children.

Jason Brown, aged 35, admitted two counts of distributing indecent images of children, and was sent to prison for six months when he appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Monday.

The images were discovered when a friend’s young son found them on his iPod, and the mother took it to the police. Officers then raided his home in Marconi Close, and found images of children and extreme pornography on his computer, some of which were the higher levels three and four.

Brown admitted the two distribution charges, as well as 13 charges of possessing indecent photography of children and four charges of possessing extreme pornographic images.

He must now sign the sex offenders’ register for the next 10 years, and has been banned from working with children.
