A WESTON pub owner has been fined hundreds of pounds for having a television on the premises when he did not have a TV licence.
Charilaos Constantinou is the owner of Nook and Harbour in Knightstone Road, and appeared before magistrates at North Somerset Courthouse on Wednesday.
He was fined 350, and also ordered to pay 150 costs plus a 15 victim surcharge.
Warren Carr, of TV Licensing South West, said: “We appreciate these are tough times for businesses, but to be fair to the majority who do pay the licence fee, we have to take action against those who watch TV illegally.”
