A TEENAGE girl has been charged with murder after the death of Weston man Mark Roberts in October.

Mr Roberts was found hurt in Baildon Road on the Bournville estate in the early hours of October 12, and died in hospital the following day.

A 17-year-old male was arrested soon afterwards, and charged with Mr Roberts’ murder.

He is currently on remand and due to appear at Bristol Crown Court in February, when he is expected to enter a plea.

Yesterday (Tuesday), a 15-year-old girl was also formally charged with murder, and she is due to appear at North Somerset Courthouse today (Wednesday). She cannot be named because she is under 18.

Two other people who were arrested in the days after Mr Roberts’ death have been released from bail, and no further action is being taken against them.

Friends and family have since paid tribute to 35-year-old Mr Roberts.

His parents Andrew and Lesley, of Uphill, say they have suffered an ‘unimaginable’ loss, adding that Mark had been robbed of a chance of happiness with fiancée Zara Powell who they described as ‘the woman he wanted to share his life with’.

And Zara told the Mercury: “I loved him to bits. He was absolutely amazing. No-one could say a bad word about him.”
