A 44-YEAR-OLD man will appear at North Somerset Courthouse this morning (Thurs), charged with the murder of a woman in Kewstoke two weeks ago.

Julia Tottle, known locally as Julie, was found dead at a home in Crookes Lane on July 5, leading police to seal off the village as they carried out an investigation.

Her husband Stephen Hotson, also of Crookes Lane, was found at the scene with serious head injuries, after being thought to have fallen or jumped from an upstairs window.

He has since been recuperating at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol, but has now been charged with murder. Hotson also faces a second charge of arson with intent to endanger life.
