Dogs galore on Weston seafront as animal show is a hit with visitors

Prized pooches were proudly on show at an event in Weston at the weekend.

The RSPCA branch took over the Beach Lawns on Sunday for a day of fun and entertainment.

Proceedings got underway with a fete in the morning before dogs competed in a series of classes after lunch.

Among the categories were happiest, healthiest and most obedient dogs.

As well as lots of cute animals, there were a number of activities set up for spectators too.

Games, stalls selling goodies and a tombola were also available to the public.
