A NORTH Somerset pub says it is hopeful to put on a beer festival again next year after the success of its first event in the village.
The White Hart Pub in Wrington Road, Congresbury, held the Congresbury Beer Festival on Saturday, which saw an estimated 4-500 people pour into the area.
Festival-goers enjoyed a hog roast, barbecue, fairground games, food and a host of beers and ciders.
Drinks from Twisted Oaks, a Wrington-based brewery, proved a hit on the day.
Joe Chipperfield, a barman at the White Hart, said: “It was very popular and a great success. We are hoping to put it on again next year.”
