CUB scouts in Portishead have collected 100 pairs of shoes to help poor children across the world.Members of the 2nd Portishead Scout Group have been busy collecting secondhand trainers, boots and shoes for the Blue Peter Shoebiz Appeal.The mountain of footwear will now be recycled to raise money for poor children in Malawi, many of which are orphans.Group scout leader Angela Andrews said: "This is a great achievement for the cubs, especially in our centenary year when we are encouraged more than ever to think about how we can change the world for good."Special thanks must go to Julie Kearsley, one of our mums, who masterminded the collection of shoes for this campaign.
