POLICE are trying to trace a cyclist who snapped a driver's key off in the ignition and made abusive comments to him.
A driver, a man in his 30s, had collected his young children from school when he was approached by a cyclist in Worle High Street on Friday at 3.15pm.
The cyclist made abusive comments about his driving and rode slowly in front of the car before getting off the bike just outside the Woodsping Pub.
He then returned to the car and broke the key off in the ignition before cycling away.
PC Gary Tester said: “There were a number of people in the street at the time, both pedestrians and other drivers, and I’d be keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident.
“I would ask the cyclist involved to come forward and explain his actions.”
The cyclist is described as a white man, aged around 50, wearing an orange high-visibility jacket, shorts, a cycle helmet and black boots.
