LOCAL people are being asked to lend their knowledge and expertise to North Somerset Council to help it develop a walking and cycling strategy for Nailsea.The strategy aims to create proposals that will attract Government or other third party funding and benefit pedestrians and cyclists in the town.A key stage in the development of the strategy is to engage with local communities.A consultation evening is being held at Church House, Silver Street, Nailsea, on October 23 from 6-8pm.North Somerset Council executive member for planning and highways, Elfan Ap Rees said: "At the moment these strategies will concentrate on Nailsea and Weston-super-Mare. Separate strategies for Portishead and Clevedon will be developed next year.
