A NEW group is hoping to bring contemporary dance to the masses in Burnham after holding auditions on Monday.

The Torima group, led by teachers Victoria Jones and Emma Duffill, met for the first time at the DanceFit studio in Love Lane, and four entrants successfully auditioned to become part of the group which wants to take the town by storm.

Mrs Jones said: “The quality of the auditions was very good. There isn’t really any contemporary dance going on in either the Burnham or Weston areas, and we’re hoping to put on a performance next March or April, probably at the Princess Hall.”

For dance hopefuls who missed the auditions, you can contact Victoria on 07701 045993 or by emailing victoria@dancefitsomerset.co.uk
