MEMBERS of two dance groups are celebrating after being chosen to perform at a prestigious West End event.Youngsters from the Jayne Elizabeth School of Dance in Mendip Avenue in Worle and dancers who perform at the For All Healthy Living Centre in Lonsdale Avenue on Weston's Bournville Estate and The Ritz Social Club in Victoria Street, Burnham, will represent the South West region in the Individual Dance Teachers' Association's (IDTA) Showcase Gala at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End.The girls had to pass auditions in May to be allowed to perform at the prestigious event in October.The Jayne Elizabeth School of Dance also had a couple of other reasons to celebrate. A group of its dancers won an award at Weston's Junior Arts Festival for most original choreography and pupils Martha Taylor and Louise Ware got distinctions in their groups at the All England Dance Festival.* Pictured: Jayne Elizabeth School of Dance pupils.
