Dancing has returned to the 90-year-old Winter Gardens following its restoration by Weston College.
There were fears the popular dances would no longer take place in the Weston-super-Mare seafront venue when the college took it over in 2015.
However, a community board was set up to look at how the building could continue to be used by people from all over Weston.
The first dance returned last week, where more than 200 people celebrated the occasion in the ballroom.
Dr Tansin Benn, chairman of the community board, said: “The quality of the restoration of the pavilion with its attention to improving the structure, décor, state of the floor, curtains, carpeting, lighting and sound equipment all added to the enhancement of the experience in the wonderful ambience of the evening.
“The dancers left filled with excitement and anticipation of future dance events in the ballroom.”
