Date set for inquiry over Weston home plan

A date has been set for the Government’s inquiry into a housing development on the edge of Weston-super-Mare.
Molwin Estates sought planning permission to build 79 homes on Bleadon Hill last year.
But North Somerset Council took too long to decide on the application so the developer appealed to the Government to intervene.
The council later revealed it would have rejected the application and vowed to fight the appeal.
The developer has since submitted a replica planning application in the hopes of reaching an agreement with the council ahead of the appeal.
Molwin Estates and the council have submitted appeal statements and now have to submit their evidence by November 1.
The inquiry is to be held on November 29.
