WESTON Samaritans welcomed a visitor with poignant personal history as part of the charity’s national awareness day.
The organisation offers emotional support to those in difficulty, and opened its branch to David Exley, a colleague on a mammoth nationwide journey.
David is tackling a 6,000-mile journey to all Samaritans branches on his motorbike to help raise awareness of the charity’s 24-hour service.
David said: “My younger brother Tim took his own life 24 years ago and tragically in 2007 my son James also ended his life.
“I really hope that my challenge will mean that more people will be aware of the support Samaritans offers, that way, some good can come out of what has been a very difficult time for me and my family.”
