CHILDREN suffering from cancer and their families enjoyed a day out on the Grand Pier.

The 136 guests were treated to all-day rides, lunch and ice creams, as well as entertainment from Sunny the donkey.

The event was donated to the Children With Cancer charity ball in London last year, where guests were invited to buy a day out for a child, raising £33,500 for the charity.

Grand Pier general manager Paul Charalambous said: “It was great to see how much fun everyone had while they were here.”
