CAR stunt youths are risking the lives of beach users in Berrow, according to councillors. The pranksters have filmed themselves standing on the tops of cars with no one behind the wheel. The stunts were filmed by the youths and posted on the internet. Town Councillor Louise Parkin said: "There is lots of seaweed and driftwood lying around on the beach, if they hit something one of these youths could fall off the roof and roll straight under the car."In one part of the film, two youths are stood on top of a white car, with no one behind the wheel. Local residents fear that the footage may encourage copycats. A local resident who wishes to remain anonymous, contacted burnham-on-sea.com after spotting the videos on an internet search.Spokesman Mark Newman said: "It defies belief that these people are endangering themselves in such a way. They are risking their lives and the lives of other beach users."Louise Parkin added: "Their behaviour is completely irresponsible. Do we need to put up signs telling people not to drive like lunatics on our beach? All they want is their 15 minutes of fame.
