PLANNING permission for a refrigeration plant in Winscombe was expected to be approved at a meeting yesterday (Wed).
A decision on whether retrospective permission should be granted to Co-operative Retail Services Ltd, which owns a shop in Woodborough Road, was due to be reached at a meeting of North Somerset Council's south area committee.
The permission is for a refrigeration unit and acoustic screen behind the shop, which have already been installed.
Certain planning conditions were suggested if the application was approved including the fact that noise should be kept to a level of five decibels.
A site meeting took place on December 10 and two objections were made about the potential noise disturbance and the fact the structures are visually intrusive.
