A WESTON eatery has been nominated for a top national award.

Munch Deli in Waterloo Street has been put up for Deli of the Year, pitting it against top food outlets from across the country.

Now, customers can vote for the deli in the competition, run by Dorset-based food producer Olives Et Al, to help it make the regional shortlists.

The ultimate winner will then be announced in London in September.

Munch Deli owner Tom Snowball said: “Last year a deli in Bristol won and we’d love the prize to come to Weston.

“We’d like to make our entry really stand out so that the judges can’t ignore us and so we’re asking all our customers to come in and leave a comment – then we’ll include these in our pack which is sent to the judges.”
