BATS, mice and hedgehogs were the stars of the show at a Somerset animal charity’s final open weekend of 2015.
Animal experts at Secret World Wildlife Rescue, in East Huntspill, gave talks to more than 1,500 guests at its Bats and Bobs weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
Younger visitors had the chance to help create a natural harvest mouse habitat, while hundreds of children also made clay mice, spider conkers and wildlife badges.
Secret World fundraiser Jeremy Duxbury said: “This is the first time for many years that we have held an open weekend at this time of year.
“We were both surprised and delighted at the large number of people who took the opportunity to visit us.”
