THESE ‘convicts’ made their way by train, car and bus to opposite ends of the country – for a variety of organisations around Wedmore.

The Wedmore Young Farmers held their first jailbreak event on Sunday morning, as three teams set off from the George Hotel in the village, with the winning duo of Ian Winter and Sam Tincknell making their way to Glasgow.

Although she is unclear as to how much money has been raised for charities and organisations around Wedmore, organiser Claire Willcox said: “It was such a lot of fun we’re already planning another, and next time we’ll be taking our passports.”
