A developer is hoping to build eight new homes in West Wick 'to meet local needs'.

Sir Robert McAlpine Enterprise Ltd has applied to North Somerset Council for outline planning permission to build the homes at Warleys Lane, near the back of Lidl.

The site is currently filled with shrubs and surrounded by hedges.

The documents submitted with the planning application say: “The site offers the opportunity to provide residential dwelling types sized to meet local needs.

“The proposal aims to deliver a design sympathetic to its surroundings and to provide a high quality, sustainable suburban-living environment within the existing community and locality.”

The proposals include three four-bedroom homes, four three-bedroom homes and one three-bedroom house.

To view the application, search for 17/P/2283/O on the council’s planning portal.
