ONE of Weston's hottest bands is set to make a special performance at the charity bash of the summer.Devious Phat has agreed to entertain crowds at the Weston Super Pier Party on June 21.There has been a massive amount of interest in the band since the Weston Mercury announced it would be launching its EP, Get Devious, on June 17 and frontman Nathan Williams had invited his megastar cousin Robbie Williams to the gig.The pier party is being held on the Grand Pier and is raising cash for Weston Super Kids Appeal which will pay for improved children's facilities at Weston General Hospital.The event will feature other top local bands The Orphans, The Ovation Brothers and Ladycake. There will also be a DJ, traditional food and lots of free rides.One of the main attractions on the day will be a star-studded auction. Lots include tea for two with Jeffrey Archer in his penthouse apartment and a tour of the House of Commons with Weston's MP John Penrose. A host of shirts, photographs and pennants from Premiership teams like Liverpool, Everton, Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur will also be up for grabs. Many of them have been signed.Tickets are £20 and include fish and chips or a pig roast, ice cream and entry to a whole host of rides. They are on sale now at the Winter Gardens on 01934 645544.
