GROUPS around town have been celebrating a week after winning some top awards in a prestigious competition.Weston won a silver award in the Tesco cup at the South West In Bloom awards, which recognises the region's finest floral displays.While Weston's Flower Power group, a joint initiative between the Weston & Somerset Mercury, the town council and Weston Tourism to create colourful displays across town, won the Sargent Trophy for outstanding effort and dedication in creating Weston's competition entries.Castle Batch Primary School beat other schools across the area to win the Clem Preece Memorial Cup for an outstanding effort in creating its vegetable garden.The awards, organised by the South West in Bloom committee, were presented at a ceremony in Taunton.
