A digital showcase will run at the Winter Gardens.

Weston will host the event, with experts from the police’s cyber security team and technology firms attending.

Projects being showcased include new websites and applications for businesses, the development of a bespoke wireless streaming music adaptor and the production of a 3D printed hand.

North Somerset Council leader Nigel Ashton isaid: “Digital business is a big and increasingly important part of the North Somerset economy, so it’s essential we are growing our own talent for our future workforce.

“The event will also be an excellent opportunity for North Somerset’s talented digital students and businesses to meet and develop better understanding of opportunities.”

The showcase on May 10 will look at themes including security, data protection and innovation in North Somerset
