A DISABLED man who suffers from severe arthritis has been robbed in public toilets in Burnham.

The man was visiting the toilets near the tourist information centre on the Esplanade.

The victim entered the toilets with a black camera bag over his shoulder.

But as he stood with his back to a toilet cubicle an unknown offender pulled the bag off his arm and escaped with cash, cards, a camera and a mobile phone.

The disabled man was shocked by the incident.

The offender was male, around 5ft 9ins tall with a skinny build and was wearing a grey hooded top with a dark scarf across his mouth.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the offender escaping. Anyone who can help is asked to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 55511 or police on 0845 456 7000.
