TWO shocking assaults which took place in Weston are causing police serious concern.A 16-year-old girl was attacked for no apparent reason by a woman at the junction of Meadow Street and Alma Street. A man, thought to be the same age, was with the attacker and watched on as the assault took place.The victim suffered injuries to her face, neck and knee but did not require hospital treatment.The offender is thought to be in her early 20s and is described as slim and was wearing a blue jacket. The incident happened at about 5.30pm on March 12.Detectives are also looking for information after a 43-year-old disabled woman was held up at knifepoint while trying to get out of her car in Churchill Road.A man approached her from behind and threatened her with a knife before assaulting her. The woman gave the attacker her bag and he made further threats before running towards the railway line.Although uninjured, the victim was left shocked and traumatised by the attack.The offender was black, in his mid 20s, 5ft 9ins tall and of average build. He had large shoulders and a distinctive scar above his left eye.He had very short dark hair and was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up and a pouch-style pocket at the front. He was also wearing trousers and light coloured leather gloves. The incident happened at about 5.45pm on February 15.
