THE doors of Dismaland will not open to the general public until Saturday but the Mercury has put together an online gallery of what you can expect from the show...

Today the Mercury confirmed numerous rumours about the infamous street artist’s show taking over the Tropicana in Weston-super-Mare and we have been down to the site to offer our readers a glimpse as to what the show has to offer.

Interactive rides, bemusing characters taking over the site and thought-provoking politically-themed pieces fill the Tropicana.

The stewards are the polar opposite of what you would expect at any theme park – wandering around the site slumped and grumpy muttering ‘end joy’ at every turn.

Banksy said: “I guess you’d say it’s a theme park whose big theme is – theme parks should have bigger themes.”

More than 50 artists are showcasing their work in Weston and Banksy has 10 never-seen-before pieces in the show.

Massive Attack has also been confirmed to be performing at one of Dismaland’s evening shows, with more artists expected to be announced throughout the show’s six-week duration.
