NORTH Somerset's district commander is stepping down after four years as the top cop.Tracy Hayler was the first female district commander in Avon and Somerset. She will be leaving on December 31 to lead a special projects team elsewhere and Chief Supt Kay Wozniak will step into her shoes in mid January.Chief Supt Hayler said: "I am looking forward to the new challenge in my career but at the same time will be sorry to leave North Somerset. "I have thoroughly enjoyed working with local communities, individuals and partners and believe together we have achieved a lot and helped to raise the profile of the area. "I wish my successor all the very best as district commander. "She comes to North Somerset with a wealth of experience.
