Doctor in intensive care after horse accident

A DOCTOR is still in intensive care after being airlifted to hospital with head injuries.

Martin Edwards was involved in the accident just after 3.30pm, in Brent Road in Brent Knoll.

A paramedic who was on the scene asked for air ambulance support and Great Western Air Ambulance responded on behalf of the South West Air Ambulance Service.

The crew arrived at the scene just after 4pm on May 20 and stabilised Mr Edwards, who is believed to be in his 40s.

Mr Edwards, who works at a practise in Highbridge, was flown to Frenchay Hospital with head injuries and the ambulance service has confirmed he is still currently in intensive care.
