Canines that are micro-chipped can be scanned if they become lost and reunited with their owners.
The usual chipping fee can be up to £30 but wardens from Sedgemoor District Council will be offering the service for £12 per animal.
The wardens will be in Apex Park in Highbridge from 10.30am-12noon on Monday and from 12noon-1.30pm on November 2. They will also be visiting Mark Village Hall on November 5 from 11am-12noon. For more details call 0845 4082546.
