A DOG-LOVER will take up residence at a Congresbury kennels for 100 hours to raise money for his animal welfare charity.

Matthew Hall, who runs Second Chance Dog Rescue, will live in a pen at Harley Boarding Kennels and will not be allowed to talk but only bark to attract attention.

His challenge will begin on December 4 and the Portishead resident hopes to raise enough money to continue his work with unwanted dogs and those that have been subjected to violence.

The 44-year-old set up his charity in July and has already rescued 60 dogs, which he keeps at the Dolemoor Lane facility. Sponsors are invited to make payment direct to Second Chance at Lloyds TSB sort code 30-18-88 account number 26231360 or by sending cheques to Harley Kennels in Dole Moor Lane, Congresbury.
