Sunday raised a record-breaking amount of cash for a dog charity.

The Labrador Rescue Trust put on the event at Mark Village Hall in Vole Road which saw dog owners bring their canine friends and compete in light-hearted categories such as waggiest tail.

There were also stalls to browse, bric-a-brac and a tombola. The show raised more than £3,000 according to preliminary figures, making it the most successful yet.

This year marks the charity’s 25th anniversary, and the organisation also re-homed its 10,000th dog in August.
