DISGUSTED councillors in Axbridge are urging dog walkers to pick up after their animals.
Councillor Pauline Ham has noticed a considerable increase in the amount of dog mess in the town and has reported it to the dog warden.
She says the main areas are High Street, West Street and around Axbridge First School, although other councillors say Cheddar Reservoir is also notorious for dog fouling.
The dog warden at Sedgemoor District Council has vowed to make a trip to the town to try and tackle the problem and town councillors want to urge dog walkers to be vigilant and clean up properly.
