GENEROUS animal lovers from in Clevedon and Tickenham helped to give hundreds of dogs and cats a happy Christmas this year.
Mucky Pups Professional Dog Grooming, in Clevedon, held collections for the Bristol Dogs and Cats Home, supported by the North Somerset Times, and handed over the largest donation of food, toys and blankets the refuge had received all year.
Two people carriers and two large trailers were packed with the goodies as staff delivered the festive treats for the animals.
Tickenham Primary School also joined in with the appeal and helped to collect food and cash for the cause.
Staff at the grooming parlour in Old Church Road would like to thanks everyone who donated to their pet appeal.
Owner, Samantha Baker, said: "It is the biggest response we've ever had in the 20 years we've been running the appeal.
"We want to say thanks to all the public who came along and dropped things off at our Santa's grotto.
