A SHOPPING centre in Weston could be redeveloped so council employees have more room to work.An investigation will be launched into whether Dolphin Square and Carlton Street Car Park could be redeveloped to solve the problem of cramped space in North Somerset Council's offices. The study will also look at the possibility of creating a new building for the North Somerset Primary Care Trust, complete with consulting rooms, an operating theatre, social services, community nurses and a gym.The council says its current offices are so cramped it is having a serious effect on the provision of services. The investigation will be carried out by consultants GVA Grimley and was given the go-ahead at a meeting of the council's executive this week.Speaking at the meeting, Councillor John Crockford-Hawley said: "This is a golden opportunity for the town for a development and will benefit the town and the district.
