FOUR more markers will soon be put up at the parish boundaries of Axbridge.
A grand unveiling of two stone signs was held in November when town dignitaries and sponsors gathered at the top of West Street when one of the markers was revealed. The other stone was placed along from the reservoir at the Cheddar end of the town.
Now councillors have the materials for four more markers which will be placed at each of the parish boundaries on the north, south, east and west sides of Axbridge.
Carving of the stones is due to start shortly at a cost of £560 plus VAT. Councillors are now eager to encourage businesses in Axbridge and neighbouring parish councils to consider contributing to the fee.
The stone used to create the markers will be donated from Callow Quarry.
