THIS exotic bearded dragon has been taken to a Somerset animal rescue charity after it was found dumped in a recycling box.

The lizard was taken to Secret World Wildlife Rescue after it was found by the Somerset Waste Partnership (SWP).

SWP driver Steve Bisset found the reptile. He said: “The dragon was alive but cold and hardly moving.

“We called him Iggy Pop and took him back to our depot, where someone took him to Secret World. It is about the strangest thing I have ever found in a recycling box.”

The lizard is now being treated by Secret World’s animal carers.
