A WESTON bar is set to have its licence reviewed again after successfully appealing against its previous restrictions in court.

Dragon Kiss, in Regent Street, is set for review in relation to crime and disorder and the protection of children from harm.

The nightspot was reviewed by North Somerset Council’s licensing team last year, but the bar’s licence holders appealed against the conditions imposed.

The conditions were then overturned by magistrates because the council failed to advertise the review on its website – a technicality it has to follow as part of the process.

A statement released by the council said: “Dragon Kiss did appeal against some conditions that were agreed at licensing committee but magistrates overturned these conditions because they said it was null and void because the review hadn’t been advertised on our website.

“The police have since called for another licence review and people have until August 15 to give their views.”
