Highbridge Dreamscheme members accepting their award

HIGHBRIDGE Dreamscheme’s youngsters and leaders were recognised for their work after picking up a prestigious police award last week.

The volunteer scheme was awarded an award at the Avon and Somerset Police’s Children and Young People’s Awards on Thursday, held to celebrate the community work done by young people across the county.

The group, which has over 100 members, has been doing various activities in Highbridge over the last two years, including helping the Highbridge in Bloom bid team, and collecting over 70 bags of litter in a charity litter pick.

Leader Jason Adams said: “It was a really fantastic day and good to see the young people of Highbridge being recognised for their work.”
