POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an accident in Clevedon which left a driver in a critical condition.The accident happened at 11.57pm on June 3 when a man driving a red Vauxhall Vectra along David Lane veered off the road and into a hedge and fence.The car then rolled into a nearby field.No other vehicle was involved in the accident. The driver received serious injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital where he is in a critical condition.Two rear seat passengers from the car, who were thrown from the vehicle, both remain in a serious, but non life threatening condition, in Weston General Hospital.A front seat passenger in the car escaped with only minor injuries.Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the accident or may have seen the Vectra in the Clevedon area shortly before midnight on Saturday.
