A driver from Weston ranks as one of the worst learner drivers in Britain after failing their practical test a staggering 35 times, new Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency statistics have revealed this week.
The 44-year-old man finally passed his practical test at the Weston testing centre at the 36th time of trying last year.
The driver ranks third on the all-time list of most tests taken by one person in Britain, pulling up three tests short of the top spot, which belongs to a man from the Liverpool area.
No drivers from North Somerset featured in the top 20 for theory tests taken, with the crown going to a 30-year-old woman from North London who is yet to pass the computer-based test after 113 attempts.
