A MOTORIST had a lucky escape when he hit a ladder in the middle of the M5. "It's lucky nobody was injured and I'm thankful my car stayed on the road."The carriageway was brought to a standstill for a short time while debris was removed. Police are investigating the incident. John added: "I would be grateful if anyone would contact the police if they have information. It could have been serious and I am sure someone out there knows where the ladder came from.
