Drivers face road works

DRIVERS in Somerset can expect to encounter heavy roadworks throughout January.

DRIVERS in Somerset can expect to encounter heavy roadworks throughout January.

On Monday three months of maintenance work by Bristol Water began in Blackford and Mark Road in Mark and two way traffic lights are in place.

Weeks of traffic controls are also in place across the region for the next three weeks due to cable recovery by BT.

Areas affected by this are Old Bristol Road in East Brent, Bridgwater Road in Axbridge and Bristol Road in Compton Bishop.

Two way traffic lights are also in place from today (Thurs) for one week along Burnham Road in Burnham due to gas works.
