DRUGS and hundreds of pounds in cash have been seized from a suspected drug-dealing base on a Weston estate.Officers found two nine-ounce bars of cannabis and more than £1,000 in cash at a house in Baildon Crescent, on Weston's Bournville estate.A team of about 12 officers swooped on the house, and entered through a door which had been left open. They arrested four adults who have all been released on bail without charge while further investigations take place. The operation, which took place after officers executed a warrant following intelligence gathered about the property, is expected to have a significant effect on the area.Baildon Crescent is regarded by police as a thoroughfare on the estate and the house was likely to have been a frequent drop-in point for drug users looking for a fix.PC Matt Pearce, of the South Ward policing team, helped lead the operation and says police will not tolerate drugs on Weston's estates. He said: "We take a hard line on drugs and drug-dealing on the estates."This intelligence-led operation shows the sort of serious action we will take to stop it.
