A PROJECT involving people of all ages has launched with a drumming workshop.

The Festival Of Ages has been organised by Alliance Homes to encourage older and younger people to work together to produce a performance piece.

The show will involve music, from drumming to singing, and storytelling. It will also give people the chance to become pen pals.

Pupils from Milton Park Primary School took part in a drumming workshop in the first activity of the festival.

Three choirs of different ages will also be learning to sing an original song composed for the final showcase.

The songs will include details about the project and the experiences people had throughout it.

The free festival will be performed at Weston’s Playhouse in the High Street on July 8 from 2-4.15pm.

Tickets can be booked by calling the Alliance Homes’ community engagement team on 03000 120120.
