A NURSE who terrorised her neighbours by screaming racist insults, threatening to petrol bomb them and playing loud music has been handed an anti social behaviour order (ASBO).Sarah Walker became incensed when her neighbours rallied against her and signed a petition to get her evicted because of her bad behaviour. The 31-year-old, who was living in Milton Brow, Weston, at the time, even shouted racist taunts at one man in her street. She admitted two charges of harassment and one charge of racially aggravated harassment.Walker was handed a two-year ASBO and was conditionally discharged for two years at Bristol Crown Court. If she breaches her sentence she could spend five years in jail.Former neighbour Sonia Radford, aged 40, described Walker as a Jekyll and Hyde character who was frequently drunk.During the hearing, Kirsty Real, prosecuting, told how Walker had harassed Mrs Radford and neighbours Saheed Olowu and Michelle Cavill last July and August. She said the mother-of-two had been in her back garden at 2am on July 13 when she was overheard by Mrs Radford and Mrs Cavill saying: "Those f****** bitches are dead. I will sort them out and petrol bomb them."Ms Real said the frightened women then heard loud music and voices coming from the defendant's garden. She said the defendant also told Mr Olowu that she had friends in St Pauls, Bristol, who would come down and petrol bomb his home.Walker then called the man a 'black b*****' three days later. The defendant was arrested and interviewed on July 25 but was heard making threats to shoot and petrol bomb her neighbours just days later.Sarah Regan, defending, said: "Essentially she's a lady of good character. She works hard to provide for her two children."She will be unable to pursue her nursing career because of her convictions. She cares for the elderly and works with children with learning difficulties. That's the real Sarah Walker."These offences were the culmination of a series of matters getting out of hand," she said.Sentencing Walker, Recorder Mr John Trevaskis said her behaviour was particularly 'unacceptable' because of its element of racial aggravation. What you said went way beyond anything that could be remotely justified as part and parcel of an ordinary neighbour dispute."He told Walker the ASBO would stop her from causing alarm, harassment or distress to anyone in the North Somerset area and from playing amplified music that is intrusive to nearby residential properties.
