The cold weather did not deter the crowds as thousands of people enjoyed Somerset’s largest food festival at the weekend.

Eat:Burnham returned to the town for the seventh time on Saturday as more than 130 of the region’s food and drink producers showcased their items.

The multi-award winning festival prides itself on its variety and visitors could sample a host of dishes, take part in workshops at the Retreat Demo Stage or Hawksmoor Cookery School and learn about Plotgate Community Farm.

Organiser Sarah Milner Simonds said: “The biting winds didn’t put people off coming and many producers sold out during the day.

“The livestock, tractors and entertainment were busy throughout and we want to thank our sponsors, production partners and stewards for their hard work in certainly our coldest festival to date.”
