PUPILS at Hutton Primary School dabbled in a variety of experiments to mark science day in February 28.
Youngsters learned about the environment of the compost bins and food chains, hunted hedgerows in Des Phippen Park for bugs, went on a mini-beast hunt around the school and built a variety of shelters for different animals.
They were also given a liquid nitrogen demonstration by pupils from Badminton School in Bristol, and were able to taste some home-made ice cream made using the liquid nitrogen.
